House in the woods
From a distance, the charcoal-black façade merges quietly with the surrounding woods. It does not seek attention, but aligns itself with calm precision to its context.
The forest floor softens each step. A narrow threshold of shadow and light leads inside. Polished concrete underfoot, shelves lined with books, and a glimpse of sky above create a space of stillness, free from distraction.
The house unfolds in long, low lines, measured and deliberate. Glazing reflects the forest, dissolving the boundary between interior and landscape. The architecture does not assert itself; it responds, observes, and recedes.
A place to pause, to converse, and to watch the fog rise. Framed views encourage awareness of the present moment. Clad in dark tiles, the bathroom feels grounded and connected to the forest, while a skylight brings light and air into the space.
