The design on Oerlikonerstrasse responds sensitively to its urban context: the building steps down in four sections towards the north, integrating seamlessly into the existing urban grain. The compact form effectively shields residents from road noise on Schaffhauserstrasse while simultaneously enhancing the courtyard for the entire neighbourhood — despite a density of 2.3, its character is preserved.
A key focus is social sustainability in line with the SNBS standard.
The interconnection of private outdoor spaces towards the courtyard, combined with usable loggias facing the street, creates diverse meeting zones that foster a sense of community. A shared kitchen on the top floor, with access to a south-west-facing roof terrace, further enriches communal life. The retention of the existing basement additionally conserves embodied energy, underlining the project's resource-conscious approach.

Der Entwurf des neuen Stadions integriert sich harmonisch in die umgebende Landschaft und Topografie. Die Gebäudegeometrie greift die charakteristische Flächigkeit des Sportparks und des Mauerparks auf und überführt sie in ein zeitgemäßes, barrierefreies Konzept. Der historische Kontext bleibt für die Nutzer erlebbar. Der zentrale Boulevard verbindet das Stadion mit den Sportpark-Gebäuden und schafft eine attraktive Begegnungs- und Aktivitätszone. Das asymmetrische Stadionvolumen öffnet sich zum Boulevard hin, während die Erschließung durch zwei Rampen entlang des Trümmerhügels eine uneingeschränkt inklusive Zugänglichkeit für alle Nutzer gewährleistet.
