Renovation and Extension Rue Cristino Garcia
Today, 3–5–7 Rue Cristino Garcia occupies a complex urban condition shaped by the ongoing transformation of the city’s periphery.
Located between the park and the Boulevard Périphérique, it forms part of the Lamoricière complex, a monumental ensemble from 1957 that marks the entrance to Porte de Vincennes and reflects post-war social housing ambitions.
As the first building within the complex to be renovated, the project reimagines this neglected structure as high-quality student housing.
The intervention follows a twofold strategy. On one hand, the existing building is carefully reorganized, preserving much of its fabric and the embodied energy of the concrete frame and stone façades.
On the other, a new lightweight timber structure is introduced, creating additional living space while giving the building a renewed architectural identity and presence.

Der Entwurf des neuen Stadions integriert sich harmonisch in die umgebende Landschaft und Topografie. Die Gebäudegeometrie greift die charakteristische Flächigkeit des Sportparks und des Mauerparks auf und überführt sie in ein zeitgemäßes, barrierefreies Konzept. Der historische Kontext bleibt für die Nutzer erlebbar. Der zentrale Boulevard verbindet das Stadion mit den Sportpark-Gebäuden und schafft eine attraktive Begegnungs- und Aktivitätszone. Das asymmetrische Stadionvolumen öffnet sich zum Boulevard hin, während die Erschließung durch zwei Rampen entlang des Trümmerhügels eine uneingeschränkt inklusive Zugänglichkeit für alle Nutzer gewährleistet.
