For the Local Police Damme / Knokke-Heist, META designed a new police building at a strategically visible location along the Natiënlaan.
As a clear, autonomous volume, it integrates into the green-blue landscape and establishes a new public landmark.
The design organizes all functions on a single level, enabling clear workflows, short circulation paths, and a compact spatial structure. Public, operational, and secured areas are logically separated while remaining legible as a coherent whole.
Architecturally, the building is composed of a robust base and a lighter upper volume. The plinth accommodates the more enclosed functions, while the recessed upper floor introduces openness and transparency.
A strong focus on workplace quality and sustainability defines the project, with abundant natural daylight, efficient building systems, and a landscaped environment that supports water retention and biodiversity.

Der Entwurf des neuen Stadions integriert sich harmonisch in die umgebende Landschaft und Topografie. Die Gebäudegeometrie greift die charakteristische Flächigkeit des Sportparks und des Mauerparks auf und überführt sie in ein zeitgemäßes, barrierefreies Konzept. Der historische Kontext bleibt für die Nutzer erlebbar. Der zentrale Boulevard verbindet das Stadion mit den Sportpark-Gebäuden und schafft eine attraktive Begegnungs- und Aktivitätszone. Das asymmetrische Stadionvolumen öffnet sich zum Boulevard hin, während die Erschließung durch zwei Rampen entlang des Trümmerhügels eine uneingeschränkt inklusive Zugänglichkeit für alle Nutzer gewährleistet.
