New District at Zürich Wollishofen Station (CH)
Around Zürich Wollishofen Station, a new neighborhood center is being developed that integrates seamlessly into the existing community while introducing new urban vitality. Public-oriented uses will animate the area in the evenings and on weekends, making it an important meeting place.
The program includes residential and commercial spaces, an underground parking garage, and a municipal kindergarten with two groups. One-third of the apartments are planned as affordable housing.
The outdoor space is given particular emphasis: a well-structured station square and diverse open spaces create high-quality areas for staying and meeting. The elongated perimeter is designed as a continuous sequence of urban spaces, where circulation, access points, and buildings are thoughtfully connected. At the same time, the connection to the lake is intentionally strengthened.
